Support of excavation

Shore was called upon for solution to a deep excavation up against a building which limited excavation. Looking back on some work Shore Systems Group crew did reconstructing the Great Wall of Weehawkin. Helical piles were hand installed to secure the residents home from the collapse of the wall that went all the way to their footings. Hollowbar tiebacks were used to secure the wall face that was collapsed to prevent additional failures and protect workers below. Micropiles were used to secure the the base of the wall and prevent further vertical movement of the wall’s structural elements. Stranded tiebacks were used to prevent lateral movement of the wall being constructed. All these disciplines were completed by Shore’s experienced crew.
