Mobile City Council approves the largest contract ever awarded to a minority owned business, Hughes Companies, Inc. The Mobile City Council approves $15.2 million dredging project to Hughes Companies, Inc. for the dredging and stormwater improvements at Langan Park. This is the largest contract ever awarded to a minority owned business by the city. Crews will also repair the drainage in the lake to prevent sediment from piling up creating opportunities for boating and water recreation.
