As the owner of Preferred living homes in Moncks Corner, South Carolina I wanted to personally invite you to come see who we are and learn more about what we do.

I retired in July 2025 after 30 years in the business working with the largest companies in the industry. I was VP of Marketing for Oakwood/Clayton and Palm Harbor/Fleetwood/Cavco for 10 and 20 years respectively. When I opened this location I wanted to do things a very specific way. To say I have learned a ton over the years would be a gross understatement. I have seen it all. And I have done it all.

The most important part of running a business is and always will be the people. The best intentions and promises will only be possible based on the quality of the people running the business. The four people I started this business with are as solid as anyone you’ll ever meet. How do I know? They’re my immediate family 🙂

The second most important piece of this puzzle is the product. With 30 years experience I could have sold any product I wanted to sell. I chose Franklin Homes among all the alternatives. Much like you might be shopping for a home to buy, when I was shopping for homes to sell, I chose the product that was built the best with the highest customer satisfaction over time. And because we sell high-end modular homes, we wanted to sell product built by a modular home builder. There’s a big difference when a modular is built by a company who builds modulars primarily. If you are buying a mobile home you can’t go wrong with Clayton, Champion, Cavco etc. If you want a modular home, you should buy from a modular builder. Franklin Homes is simply the best built modular home available. Period. I could have sold any product I wanted to sell, but I chose Franklin.

The next element that matters is experience and expertise. The construction of the home on the site is the easy part. Managing the finance and service after the sell is the part where the real difference is made between one dealer and another. In my 30 years I have learned a simple business strategy that others will likely never emulate: I run my business assuming I am going to bump into you at the grocery store in 10 years and my goal is simple, make sure it’s a great encounter. And the key to that is great service starting day one and sell the highest quality built home possible.

It’s easy to make outlandish promises but we focus on the experience and we do that starting with quality people, great financing and the best product available.
