Yesterday’s AI-Enabled Wargaming & Simulations — Immersion Day at The Eagle Institute brought together AU faculty, staff, military professionals, technologists, industry leaders, and innovators for a hands-on exploration of the future of operational learning and AI-enabled decision advantage.

Hosted in collaboration with Air University Innovation Accelerator (AUiX), the LeMay Center for Doctrine Development and Education, and Amazon Web Services (AWS). The immersion provided participants with hands-on exposure to emerging tools and methodologies supporting operational analysis, scenario generation, experimentation, and decision advantage.

Throughout the workshop, attendees explored:
• AI-enabled rapid scenario design and iteration
• Human-machine teaming in dynamic operational environments
• Simulation-driven concept testing and learning modernization
• Real-time data integration for operational insight generation
• Practical applications of AWS Kiro capabilities for wargaming and experimentation

The event reinforced the importance of cross-functional collaboration between defense, academia, and industry to accelerate innovation across the Air University enterprise and broader national security ecosystem.

Black Oak Solutions remains committed to supporting initiatives that strengthen operational readiness, foster strategic partnerships, and advance immersive learning and experimentation capabilities across the defense and education sectors.

Innovation requires environments where operators, educators, and technologists can collaborate, prototype, and iterate rapidly — and that is exactly what was accomplished at The Eagle Institute.

This month’s Professional Educational Leadership Learning Activities (PELLA) experience took Blount Elementary School’s 5th grade aviators on an immersive journey through history, aviation, leadership, and higher education. ✈️

Students visited the Tuskegee Airmen National Historic Site at Moton Field, where they explored the powerful legacy of the Tuskegee Airmen and gained firsthand insight into the courage, discipline, and excellence that changed American history.

The experience also included:
• Interactive aviation and historical learning activities
• Educational quizzes with prizes to reinforce engagement and retention
• Exposure to aircraft, STEM, and military aviation history
• A visit to TUSKEGEE UNIVERSITY to introduce students to collegiate pathways, culture, and opportunity

PELLA is focused on creating experiential learning environments that connect classroom learning with real-world leadership, innovation, history, and career exploration.

These moments matter. Exposure creates vision — and vision helps shape future leaders, aviators, educators, engineers, and changemakers.

Innovation takes shape one layer at a time.

Today, The Eagle Institute brought together students, faculty, staff from Air University, community members, local colleges and universities, and industry professionals for our 3D Printing 101 Workshop. Facilitated by Harley DeMarco and Micheal Head.

From exploring the fundamentals of additive manufacturing to discussing real-world applications across education, defense, entrepreneurship, and rapid prototyping, the session created a collaborative environment where ideas moved from concept to creation.

Workshops like these are part of a broader effort to strengthen innovation ecosystems across the River Region by connecting academia, industry, government, and the community through hands-on learning and emerging technologies.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to the discussion, collaboration, and energy in the room. The future of innovation is built through experiences like this.

This is what Grace by Magnolia is about…

Taking time to pause in a busy world and remember who we are.

It’s so easy to isolate… to strive to be self-sufficient…
when in reality, that was never our design.

Even Jesus walked with twelve…
and in His most revealing moments, He drew even closer to three.

It’s a reminder that no matter how strong we think we are,
we were created to lean on one another.

When I first thought about what Grace by Magnolia could be,
there was so much doubt… so much fear.

But here I am… doing it anyway.
Still becoming. Still trusting.

I’m so thankful for my three who showed up for me
in a moment that was so tender.

This night was me choosing faith over fear in real time…
leaning not on my own understanding,
but trusting in my Father in heaven.

It was a beautiful night, with beautiful people,
and without obedience, I would have missed it.

These are the same women who have walked with me through
having a baby before I felt ready,
failed classes,
seasons of depression,
and so many transitions of becoming.

Sometimes life gets so busy that we forget to be still…
to truly cherish the relationships God has blessed us with.

So with every gathering, every arrangement, every detail…
my hope is this:

That we would trade busyness for stillness,
anxiety for peace,
and remember that the real beauty of any moment
is the people we share it with.

Grace by Magnolia is for moments like this.
