Working on this. A greenhouse that is serving as a chicken run. The coop has rollout nests, so no more dirty eggs. I set a feeder and waterer which hold enough to keep 36 birds fed for a month and can be easily refilled without going into the run. It’s raining and cold today but my chickens are dry and relatively warm. Experimenting with adding heat. Once I get it sealed up (with adequate fresh air ventilation) I’m gonna try using a simple hair dryer and see what happens. Maybe running a toaster and a small fan with a solar panel and a 12 volt battery.
I’m going to keep adding carbon (mulch/wood chips/straw) to maintain neutral soil and next year I’ll put up another one, transplant these chickens into the new run and plant something special in this one for our honey bees.
