Sometimes the job looks a little different than finally completing that renovation the customer’s had saved on their Pinterest board for years. That was the case for this water restoration job.

⏰ We worked quickly to get our customer’s home back in order so they had their kitchen back and didn’t need to continue sharing a bathroom with their three kids.

🎨 While the house was under construction, we turned an unfortunate event into an opportunity, by adding a bathroom fan and giving a re-fresh to the bathroom with a new paint color.

: Hoping this weekend has you feeling as refreshed and rejuvenated as this newly renovated deck we just completed for our customer!

➡️ Since it’s deck season, here’s some tips on how to know when its time for a deck transformation:

🪵 If your deck is over 10-20 years old and requiring frequent, costly repairs each season, it’s likely time to consider a full deck renovation. Key signs include structural issues such as sagging or the deck feeling bouncy, wood rot and decay, unstable railings, and loose or rusted fasteners.

💰 In the long run, it is more cost-effective to completely replace your old deck rather than continue to patch up an old, outdated deck. Another added bonus? Your new deck will meet modern building codes (such as joist spacing, proper fasteners and hangers, footings, and more) that your older deck likely does not.

All in a day’s work! We recently installed The Luxury Pergola for our customer so they can enjoy their outdoor living space all season long.

☀️ 🌧️ The project was made complete with a new outdoor in-use receptacle. This pre-fabbed aluminum structure includes mechanical louvers that open and close with the push of a button so our client can enjoy the outdoors no matter what the weather may bring. With full coverage (and even built-in gutters), our client can stay outside during a peaceful spring rain shower, or enjoy the shade on a hot summer day.

: Last week we enjoyed attending Habitat for Humanity of Berks County’s 10th Annual Birdhouse Challenge at the Reading Country Club.

🐦‍⬛ Our owner, Key Underwood, and his son, Gabe, built Raven’s Roost out of reclaimed wood secured from a 200+ year old church in Phoenixville, PA. The birdhouse, which was inspired by Tim Burton and Edgar Allan Poe to create a whimsical and distinctive look, was auctioned off to raise money for Habitat for Humanity to put right back into the community through building houses for people looking for an opportunity to improve their situation in life and achieve home ownership.

Habitat for Humanity of Berks County’s 10th Annual Birdhouse Challenge is just one week from today, so here’s a look at the birdhouse our owner, Key, has handcrafted with his son, Gabe (age 9), in his free time over the last few weeks.

🐦‍⬛ Entitled “Ravens Roost,” this birdhouse meshes together the worlds of Tim Burton and Edgar Allen Poe to create a whimsical, distinctive look.

🪵 Key’s favorite aspect of their creation? “The shingles are made out of reclaimed wood he secured from a 200+ year old church in Phoenixville, PA.”
