This week I drug out the old fencing tools and closed in a yard for a clients dogs to run. Waiting on the metal gate frames for the gates but other than that this is complete.

Working on building a fence.

10/09/2026

The past two days have been busy. We took down a small section of fence for access and gradework to be done. The customer was having flooding issues in a couple areas of the house. We shot the grades, figured out how and where we needed to move the water to. We cut out high spots and built up low areas to fix the issues. Once we got the grade work done, we spread grass seed and straw. Then built a new section of fence. This job is done and the water should move away from and around the house now.

Some before and after pictures.

Finally got the little dump truck fixed after years of exhaust leaks. It has been repaired. We will be able to deliver dirt, rock, and sand again soon.

Today’s challenges. Running on very little sleep. The goal was to finish this little job quickly today and jump over and spread dirt at the next location before my daughter’s birthday celebration. Less than 5 minutes into the job the little Ditch Witch’s fuel pickup tube broke off inside the fuel tank. On lunch break we ran to LaVergne and got parts, then Murfreesboro for ground mats and tools. Luckily Rosannah Bene was there for the big save today. We didn’t finish early like we hoped but with teamwork she was able to get the fuel line replaced because her hand could fit into the tank, while I slung gravel, raked dirt, and tried to stay moving. Job done!

Here is how it looks making the horse riding arena mixture. Two skid steers working nonstop to get it mixed. We got it mixed today. Next step. Spread and grade.

Yesterday we completed a challenging dig. We came in behind someone that had tried to dig for a pool but was not experienced in them. They made quite a mess before they were asked to stop work. With grades being dug too deep and hard rock and a decent amount of it needing to be broke out. It proved challenging but we got it done. Here are some before and after pics.
