Lot of hard work and emotion went into this one and it was not without its challenges but I am so proud of what she became. From the charming exterior to the warm and inviting interior, close proximity to the river, park and university make this home truly special. Follow along to see where the next project will take us.

Exterior work completed just in time for the cold season. Had to remove two layers of siding and install insulation then went in with board and batten and vertical siding. Installed architectural shingles on roof. Reinforced front porch roof. Upgraded porch columns and installed floor pavers. Mini splits were installed upstairs and utilized the existing gas furnace for heat downstairs and installed AC unit.
Now it’s time for the Interior work to begin. There was enough sq footage to transition this 2BR/ 1BTH into a 3BR/3BTH. Demo work revealed several layers of hardwood flooring and several layers of wall materials. Four chimneys needed to be tore out. Relocated laundry to create master bedroom on main floor. Removed screen in porch and created a large master bathroom on main floor. Added walk in closet in master on main floor. Installed exterior door from master on main floor and created covered porch connecting to existing deck on the back of the house. Had to rebuild interior stairs. Reconfigured bedroom upstairs to add another full bathroom turning this home into a fully functioning 3BR/3BTH home. Stay tuned for final reveal.
