Grateful to be a part of the Solar Stories series with Great Lakes Renewable Energy Association! βοΈπ
Join us on Thursday, April 23, 7:00-8:00 pm, to hear Rob Rafson, P.E., Executive Director of Solar Faithful share the nonprofitβs new financing option: an Energy Shared-Savings Agreement (ESSA). In an ESSA, faith-based organizations sign a 25-year contract to purchase power generated by a solar array at an initial rate 10% lower than they currently pay their utility. This enables organizations to generate electricity using solar at no upfront cost. Further, Rob will share details about the launch of Solar Faithful's βCongregant Lendingβ program. Congregant Lending provides a mechanism for individual lenders to support under-resourced faith-based organizations in implementing solar. Solar Faithful repays lenders with revenue from the power it produces. Being a Congregant Lender means contributing to a just, clean-energy transition while also receiving a return on your investment.
