Pre sale home inspectors (at least the ones i have dealt with)are often very weak with electrical inspections, and can make wrong decisions. I had one inspector tell the seller he needed to upgrade the electrical service and we were able to save him $4K because it did not need to be done. He was ill advised by the home inspector and thankfully he had enough sense to call Bowen Electric and had a state certified electrical inspector do the electrical inspection.
