This week has been incredibly heavy and it’s been so disheartening to see so many people who’ve been displaced and their homes damaged. I hope you all have fared alright and have stayed warm. We feel overwhelmed with the road to recovery ahead and I know there’s a lot of work to do and we are here to help. We have a chainsaw and we will begin working in the field next week, so please reach out to us so we can discuss the needs you may have in regard to fallen limbs and debris. We can discuss sliding scale rates because I know that this has caused so much financial burden to folks. We love our east Nashville community and I know that we’ll get on the other side of this.

Fall is winding down and we are transitioning into Winter, but that doesn’t mean there are aspects of the landscape you can’t enjoy. Winterthur viburnums hold onto their leaves long past October with vibrant shades of orange and red. Red twig, dog woods, transform into vibrant stems, astors are still subtly blooming and the husks of native grasses sway in the breeze. Never underestimate a Winter landscape!

The Earth Crumbs crew spent the weekend in the mountains of North Carolina and Tennessee and found a plethora of native flora and fauna. I'm always looking for inspiration when designing with restoration in mind and experiencing and learning from protected parks is so important and why we need to keep them sacred!
