“Born to Build” has become a popular catchphrase in the building industry but a true statement for Travis Mitchell.

🎃 Happy Halloween Weekend! 👻

The pumpkins are out, the candy bowls are full, and we're ready for a weekend of ghosts, goblins, and a whole lot of fun!

Whether you're taking the little ones trick-or-treating, handing out candy, or enjoying a few Halloween festivities around the Hill Country, we hope you have a wonderful time!

And remember... there's no such thing as buying too much Halloween candy. Especially if it's chocolate!

Happy Halloween from Travis, Donna, and all of us at Mitchell Custom Homes!

Meet Travis & Donna Mitchell!

If you know Travis and Donna, you know they're pretty hands-on when it comes to building homes!

Travis would much rather be out on a job site than sitting behind a desk. After more than 35 years in the business, he knows his way around a construction site, and he's usually got several things going at once!

Donna is busy keeping up with homeowners, going over plans, helping with selections, and making sure all those decisions get made along the way. And believe us, there are LOTS of decisions when you're building a custom home!

They each have their own way of doing things, but together they've built a business they're proud of and made some wonderful friendships along the way.

That's Travis and Donna! Two people who enjoy building homes, working together, and getting to know the families who trust them with such an important project.

If you know the Mitchells, give them a shout-out in the comments! ❤️

Who says you have to leave home to get a great workout? 💪🏡

A dedicated home gym was part of the plan for this Mitchell Custom Homes build, and we had a little fun showing how this space could look all set up!

With room for cardio equipment, weights, and everything in between, it's a great example of how a custom home can be designed around the things you enjoy doing.

And having your own gym just down the hall? That's one way to eliminate the excuses!

Mitchell Built. Friday Proud.

At Mitchell Custom Homes, building isn't just what we do — it's who we are. Every project is a promise: to deliver homes built to last, shaped by trust, and tailored to the lives that unfold inside them.

This Friday, we're reflecting on the foundations that matter most:
🏡 Quality construction
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Strong client relationships
🛠️ A team that takes pride in every beam, brick, and blueprint

Wishing you a weekend full of inspiration and the comfort of home.

Sometimes the most beautiful design details are the ones you discover when you look up!

This gorgeous floral ceiling brings such a wonderful sense of character to the room. The rich botanical pattern, deep colors, and delicate blooms create a beautiful contrast against the dark walls and natural light streaming through those tall windows.

We love how this design brings a touch of elegance and personality to the space while giving the room its own distinct character.

It's details like these that make building a custom home so much fun. Every choice is an opportunity to create something that reflects the homeowner's personal style.

And this ceiling? We think it's absolutely beautiful!

🍂 Cooler weather, busy mornings, and everyone coming and going. This is when a well-planned mudroom really earns its keep!

When you're building a custom home, it's worth thinking about those everyday routines. Where will everyone come in? Is there a convenient place to sit and put on shoes? What about storage for all the things a family needs throughout the week?

We love incorporating spaces like this into our homes because they're designed around how our homeowners actually live.

And with those cooler Hill Country mornings finally arriving, a welcoming little spot just inside the door sounds pretty nice to us!

Friday plans? We think we've found the perfect spot!

A little grilling, a few friends, some good conversation, and a Hill Country view that makes you forget what time it is.

With an outdoor kitchen, plenty of room to gather, and that beautiful wood ceiling overhead, this covered patio from our latest custom home is ready for some serious weekend enjoyment!

Now the only question is... who's bringing the steaks?
Happy Friday from all of us at Mitchell Custom Homes!

If you've ever wondered what custom home selections look like... this is it.

There are a lot of decisions on this table, but that's part of the fun. Tile, flooring, cabinets, paint, countertops, hardware—seeing everything laid out together is when a home's personality really starts to take shape.

We love helping our homeowners narrow down the possibilities until every choice feels like them. It's a busy table today, but it's one step closer to another beautiful custom home.

Reviews like this remind us why we love what we do.

Ben trusted Mitchell Custom Homes to build his Canyon Lake home after thoroughly researching builders and speaking with homeowners, lenders, and industry professionals. Hearing that the finished home exceeded his expectations—and that the entire experience was just as rewarding—means more to us than words can say.

Thank you, Ben, for your trust, your kind words, and for allowing us to be part of such an important milestone. It was an honor to build your home, and we wish you many years of wonderful memories there.

Thank you for being part of the Mitchell Custom Homes family.
