A professional cabinet refinishing job starts long before the first coat of finish is applied.

Here's a behind-the-scenes look at one of our on-site cabinet finishing stations. Every door, drawer front, and cabinet component is carefully removed, labeled, sprayed, and placed on a dedicated drying rack to help achieve a smooth, factory-like finish.

We don't cut corners. We use premium cabinet coatings designed to provide a hard, durable finish that stands up to the everyday wear and tear of your home.

It's a lot of work behind the scenes—but it's one of the reasons our finished product looks the way it does.

An organized workspace leads to an organized project... and ultimately, a better finish.

Historic Downtown Covington Porch Transformation. ✨

There's just something special about an old Southern porch.

This beautiful historic Covington home was ready for a refresh, and our team had the privilege of bringing it back to life. From the flooring and siding to the trim and beadboard ceiling, every surface received the attention and preparation it deserved.

The ceiling was finished in Sherwin-Williams Atmospheric, a classic porch-blue that adds charm and character, while the trim and siding were painted in Sherwin-Williams Pure White for a crisp, timeless look.

Projects like this remind us that paint isn't just about color—it's about preserving beautiful homes and creating spaces where memories are made.

A huge thank you to our crew for their hard work, craftsmanship, and attention to detail on this transformation.

We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to help transform Nonna Randazzo's Bakery's Mandeville production facility.

This project involved a complete exterior repaint of the commercial metal building, including extensive preparation, priming, and application of premium industrial coatings designed specifically for long-term performance on metal substrates.

Over the course of the project, our team cleaned, prepared, primed, and repainted thousands of square feet of exterior metal surfaces, updated the awnings, refreshed the safety bollards and parking curbs, and helped give this facility a clean, bright, professional appearance that reflects the quality of the brand inside.

A special thank you to Felix, Crystal, Kayla, and the entire Nonna Randazzo's team for trusting Southern Dropcloth Painting with such an important project.

I would also like to recognize our incredible crew. Projects of this size require teamwork, communication, attention to detail, and a commitment to doing things the right way. Thank you to our team for their hard work, professionalism, and dedication throughout the project.

We are blessed to paint homes throughout Southeast Louisiana, but opportunities like this remind us how fortunate we are to also help local businesses improve and protect their properties.

Service and love for this country have always meant a lot to our family. My grandfather and my father served in the military, so today carries a special meaning for us.

🚛 NOW HIRING – FIELD OPERATIONS TECHNICIAN (Northshore)

We’ve been blessed with a lot of work lately and are looking to add the right person to our team at Southern Dropcloth Painting.

This is a hands-on position with training provided and a strong opportunity to grow within our company.

🔧 WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
✔ Supporting our painting crews on active job sites
✔ Delivering materials and keeping jobs running efficiently
✔ Setting up and breaking down projects professionally
✔ Staying one step ahead of the crew to maintain production flow
✔ Learning and performing soft washing / pressure washing
✔ Communicating with homeowners in a respectful, professional manner
✔ Reviewing scope of work (work orders) with crews and customers

💪 No experience required — we will train the right person

🎯 WE’RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO:
✔ Shows up early and ready to work
✔ Has a strong work ethic and positive attitude
✔ Is clean-cut, professional, and reliable
✔ Takes pride in doing things the right way
✔ Is organized and able to stay one step ahead
✔ Experience in painting, jobsite logistics, or soft washing / pressure washing is a strong plus (but not required)

📍 Based on the Northshore (Covington / Mandeville area)

💰 STARTING PAY:
$18/hour, with increases based on performance and reliability
This is a W-2 employee position (not a 1099 contractor role)
