A path is never just a path. This one
comes alive at night. The city's glow casting soft
shadows through the planting, leaves swaying slowly in
the breeze. A quiet reminder that nature keeps its own
rhythm, woven right into the city.

A path is never just a path. This one was designed to be walked slowly.
Lush planting lines the promenade that threads the amenity space together, with pockets to pause along the way, because sometimes the destination is a five-minute stop in the shade, not the end of the walk.

Hudson Yards and the Midtown skyline unfold. To hold that view, we designed an integrated series of seats directly into a screen wall. The pattern shifting as it descends, almost like a waterfall, pulling your eye (and eventually the rest of you) toward a seat and the skyline beyond. Each plant, and its shade of green, was carefully selected to bring out the richness of its surroundings.

Sit with the view. A shift in material, a change in light, and then it hits you all at once.
The light elements were chosen to warm the space at dusk, the layered colors and textures echoing between the planting and the skyline beyond. Quiet decisions, all of them, the kind that only grow richer as the greenery matures and the space settles into itself over time.

The arrival sequence was designed to slow you down. Shifts in material, a change in light, a threshold to cross before the view hits you all at once. First impressions are never an afterthought here; they're the first room in the design.
It's the small details that carry it: the light fixtures chosen to warm the space at dusk, the layered colors and textures in the planting, the quiet decisions that will only grow richer as the greenery matures and the space settles into itself over time.

It's the kind of space that changes mood with the hour, and somehow feels right no matter what time you find it. Seventeen stories above the city, this rooftop had to do a lot: a place to move, a place to gather, a place to disappear into a book, and a place to do absolutely nothing at all.
As the sun drops behind the skyline, the terrace shifts with it, warm light spilling across the steps, the skyline echoing the sunset in the background, the noise of the city fading into something quieter.
These are only the opening shots. We'll be back with a closer look at every corner of this rooftop in the weeks ahead!

Here, Ferns arch and layer against broad Hosta leaves, deep green on deep green, with heuchera adding a wine-dark accent at the edges. It all sits in ipe wood planters, their warm, tone grounding the greenery and echoing the brick and stone of the buildings just beyond.
Sometimes it's just a quiet corner, done right.

Some rooftops are built for the view. Others are built for the moments that happen there. Coffee in the morning sun. Long lunches beneath the pergola. Evenings around the grill that stretch well past sunset. This feels less like a rooftop and more like an escape.

What sets this terrace apart isn't the view, it's the choice of view. Face south and downtown unfolds in glass and steel, its towers rising behind sleek chaise loungers and Japanese maples. Turn north, and the composition shifts entirely. Midtown's classic silhouette, Empire State Building framed through teak furniture, hydrangeas and nepeta.
Two skylines, two moods, one terrace.

There's an hour when the skyline stops being a skyline and becomes lit sculpture. This terrace was built for it. A cantilevered pergola glows warm against deep navy sky. Anchoring it all: One World Trade Center.
