Designed by Zaha Hadid Architects, the 11-story, 40-unit condo flanks the western edge of the High Line at 28th Street.
The façade features a hand-rubbed metal screen that functions as a finished cover for the concrete slabs and the spandrel glass portions of the window wall. Hadid uses the slab covering as an opportunity to express and emphasize the softened edges at the corners and create the building's signature element of floors that meld with walls. The intricacy of their shapes require a technological artisanry, as they are formed by unique, laser cut pieces.

Shenzhen-based design firm Sunson Design has created a small ecological miniature of "city rainforest" at the heart of Nanbo Bay Reception Center in Yinchuan, China.

Named Nanbo Bay Reception Center, the project offers natural, warm and mysterious space by creating a natural ecology at the entrance of the building.

Filled with plenty of plants and trees, the space is full of the ritual sense that entering this hall will step into an "isolated" natural park.

With its stunning moving facade, the Fosun Foundation, a new culture and arts building at the Bund Finance Centre in Shanghai, is proof that China is at the forefront of experimental and innovative architecture.

Set on Shanghai’s waterfront, the Fosun Foundation is a centrepiece for the city’s business quarter, and was hailed for its shape-shifting facade when it first opened in January 2019. The three-storey building is inspired by the open stages of traditional Chinese theatre.

The mixed-use arts and cultural development centre features a curtain-like facade of bronze tubes that resemble giant pieces of bamboo. These tubes hang in three layers, creating a veil that moves vertically around the outside of the building, altering its shape.

Oppenheim Architecture's sinuous concrete golf clubhouse mimics Jordan's desertscape
A dune-like concrete shell encases the Ayla Clubhouse in Aqaba, which Oppenheim Architecture has designed to blend in with the surrounding desert in Jordan.
The building forms the heart of Ayla Oasis – a 17-square-mile leisure centre under development in the city, for which Oppenheim Architecture has also designed a golfing academy.
Ayla Clubhouse's undulating form is modelled on traditional Bedouin stretch tents and the surrounding desert dunes and mountains.
The distinct architectural form Ayla Clubhouse establishes a unique connection with nature by capturing the elemental, vibrant beauty of the rolling desert landscape.

The Passage/s exhibition gives physical form to Suh's idea of life as a journey – his installation is designed as a sequence of passageways that each represent a different place he has occupied.
