Last month, The Greenwich Village Society for Historic Preservation led an insider’s tour of PRESERV’s interior renovation of The Church of the Ascension at Fifth Avenue and 10th Street. PRESERV’s work focuses on lighting upgrades and interior preparations for the installation of the Church’s new Pascale Quoirin Organ, as well as overseeing the application of the decorative paint scheme, which will replicate the ashlar pattern from the 1880’s renovations by McKim, Mead, and White.
