This weekend Matthew and I drove out to St Louis to deliver this 1949 Protractor desk I built for a client. It was a 36 hour adventure for us and the client was more than pleased.

This week we began milling up some white oak lumber for a desk we are building for a client in St. Louis. These are the panels from that process after they were glued. I like to let them sit after we mill and cut the boards to rough length. It’s an important step because as the boards are cut, you are releasing tension in the wood. Sometimes a board may cup or twist after, by waiting a period you can catch and correct if possible.
