Seeing a refrigerator in the middle of the kitchen is unusual. Here it acts as the fulcrum as on a seesaw where Dynamic Symmetry balances unequal forms similar to the Calder mobile and ballerina in the arabesque position. Golden Proportions are evident in each cabinet. We named this The Helicopter as the composition appears to have movement like the rotors. The left wall follows a spiral evoking the Biophilic pattern of the Nautilus seashell. The upper horizontal panel, floor, and 30” high, reduced depth wood counter top at the table are the same stain color. , , , , ,

This rug could have been a typical oval, but I wanted something not as predictable as the same radius at each end. The egg is the perfect shape as it is the basis for the beginning of life. And no surprise that it follows nature’s Golden Proportions. Ends of the swerves delineate these key dimensions.
