Panell by

“Like most projects, Panell happened quite accidentally. I had always wanted to design a typeface for film titles, and in 2021 I finally had the opportunity to do so for a student project at a film school in Prague.”

Styles range across 4 weights, from Regular to Bold, and 7 widths, from Compressed to Expanded. The idea of stretching proportions is supported by its variable font format.

Built on a boxy structure with irregular rounded corners, it brings a fresh, contemporary voice to heavy typography. Inspired by brutalist architecture, Panell balances a strong, technical feel with a subtle human touch.

The family includes 7 widths and 4 weights — from compressed to expanded — all connected through a variable font system. This gives you full control over proportion, rhythm, and expression.

Panell is a punchy take on a familiar answer, just viewed from a different angle. This boxy typeface collection, with its irregular rounded corners, draws from a kind of new brutalism, inspired by concrete housing blocks, balances between a humanized and technical aesthetic.

Styles range across four weights, from Regular to Bold, and seven widths, from Compressed to Expanded. The idea of stretching proportions is supported by its variable font format.
