Here's a new extra tall horizontal 1x cedar we just wrapped up and will be staining soon! 💪🤙 This one, as usual, is built like a tank! 4x6 posts, 1 3/4 stacked cedar gates, pad locks, the whole nine yards. We only had to pull out around 20 oversized concrete blocks, fill the 7x14 dump trailer up 3x, and pour 76 bags of concrete but hey, who's counting;) Oh, and we had a bunch of cedar boards stolen off the job site!!

Added some new handrails and a wheelchair ramp to an existing deck. It can tough building on to other people's work, but I sure do like making our projects outshine the work that was done by someone else! In this scenario, the other company installed some decking that has since become obsolete so I had to do some searching to find an product that matched close enough. Mahogony for the win!!!

Another bittersweet finish. Plenty of surprises, delusions of grandeur, bumps, bruises and sweat for sure, but we grinded it out and got it done 💪. This sweet little backyard transformation features some of my favorites, PVC English Walnut body with a Weathered Teak detail border, grooved and folded over all each step and completely encasing the perimeter. The new awning features roof jacks and Solar Grey roofing and heavy timber framing stained in Sable . Super happy with how this one turned out!

It's been a hot minute without any updates but we have been busy to say the least!!! 🐝. Awnings, decks, not so many fences but hey, that's okay! We do however, have some absolute masterpieces in the works. Stay tuned!!! Side note: the last pic is the newest Deck Hand addition on a fishing trip with the crew. Deck Hand being a play on words of course, we fish!! Gabe however, may not meet the criteria but hey, he's a good sport!

Out with the old, in with the new! 💪 Sometimes a "simple redeck" has other plans and this one did not disappoint! New products like composite and PVC decking are certainly fantastic in their own rights however, are far less forgiving than wood and stone. There were some major surprises underneath all the old material that made me question both my abilities and my sanity on how to rectify it and make the new unforgiving products shine the way I wanted them to. Overall, I'm happy with the upgrade and grateful for the opportunity to give this deck a second shot at life.
