Well, after 4 years of repairing RV Roofs for less than living wages because of the flex back from the covid era, (when peoples extra fix up the home and property money dried up-)- the company terminated me for refusing to sign a verbal warning for using my allocated sick time. I was about to get a raise, I made them 10k a week and they paid me 700. I am now in a boat where I am over skilled hand crafter and mechanical tech, that can not find work.
I am now 57 and companies do not want to hire me.
I have been unemployed for 2 months now constantly job hunting.
I have never since the age of 14 been without a job for more than a week, so this has me in a panic.
I do not know what to do other than to go back to my company and try to generate work- but in this economy of extraction, the good people of my area likely still can not afford repairs and upgrades. Any comments or ideas please leave a comment and tag me so I am sure to see it. Thank you.
