: How often should I schedule pest control?

Standard maintenance usually requires a quarterly or bi-monthly plan to effectively disrupt pest life cycles and maintain a protective barrier around your property. Depending on the severity of the infestation or specific environmental factors, more frequent visits like monthly or weekly services may be required to gain full control.

Not all roaches are the same.

One of the most common questions our technicians hear is:

"How do I know if it's a German roach or an American roach?"

While both are common in North Texas, they behave very differently.

German roaches are smaller and typically live and reproduce indoors, often around kitchens, bathrooms, and other moisture-prone areas.

American roaches are much larger and are commonly found in garages, crawlspaces, drain systems, and outdoor environments before occasionally finding their way inside.

The distinction matters because the source of the activity—and the approach to control—can be very different.

During the summer months, many North Texas homeowners begin noticing increased roach activity as heat and dry conditions drive pests toward moisture and shelter.

Have you ever spotted a roach and wondered which type it was?

Check out our comparison guide to learn the differences.

If you’re suddenly seeing small brown roaches in the kitchen, you’re not alone — especially during warmer months in North Texas.

Roach activity often increases during summer because kitchens, bathrooms, and utility areas provide the moisture, warmth, and shelter they’re looking for.

What many homeowners don’t realize is that activity usually starts in hidden areas behind appliances, cabinets, and plumbing connections long before roaches become noticeable.

That’s why long-term control usually involves more than treating visible activity. Moisture, food access, and hidden nesting areas all play a role.

In our latest blog, we break down:
• Why small brown roaches appear in kitchens
• What actually helps reduce activity
• What homeowners commonly overlook

Many pest issues in commercial buildings start long before employees or visitors notice them.

Rodents, ants, cockroaches, and other pests often find their way into warehouses, office buildings, storage areas, and other commercial properties through small gaps, utility penetrations, and overlooked maintenance issues.

Regular inspections and ongoing pest management help identify potential problems early and keep businesses focused on what they do best.
