I finally found a few minutes to spend in the shop! This neck replacement project is just what I needed to dust off the old building chops in preparation for some more demanding builds coming up soon.

As noted in a previous post this is a Tacoma Thunderchief that is getting a shortscale fender style replacement neck after the original was broken in a fairly catastrophic manner. This new neck is constructed out of very straight grained quartersawn white oak. I will be searching for a nice fretboard blank sometime next week!

Repair work may not be as glamorous as building highend custom guitars but can be just as fun when the right project comes along!
