I don’t always take multiple days to demo but when I do it’s because it was built in the time of lathe and plaster. The tile floor and walls had an inch of mud on them behind the tile. I still have the whole shower to demo tomorrow. Along with cutting open the subfloor to remove the heater that was installed inside the tub cavity.

Two and half days into this job in Olmsted Falls and we’re now moving along nicely! There were a couple surprises along the way. Like a broken sink drain causing mold growth behind the wall and a couple critters in the crawl space that were swiftly removed by the homeowner. The plumbing is done, the shower is in and the first coat of mud went on today.

My daughter and I just returned from a mission trip in Costa Rica where we built two houses with other students, parents and teachers from Lutheran West. It was an eye opening and life changing experience for me. We are very blessed to be living in a country that has endless opportunities for us to prosper and provide for our families. I’ll post some videos of what the area looks like that we were working in.
