Before and after restoring a front door for my neighbors in Dundee. New weatherstripping and hand shined the hardware. I really dig the contrast of the black sheen with the white and then the dynamic of the brass work. Built some lumber storms with panels for their side lites too. 👻🎃

Very grateful for the skill and talent of Painted Light Stained Glass who helped me with this project. I realized I was in over my head trying to restore this leaded glass lite, so she rebuilt it for me while I handled milling and installation.

Restored just in time for the Autumn season. This Memorial Park double hung had an improperly installed storm window and it took a beating from the weather. Really happy with how it turned out and stoked the homeowners get to enjoy the seasonal changes of their beautiful neighborhood.

A couple of double hungs restored in Memorial Park. New cords, beads, weather stripping, glazing, and made the check rails hug again, among other things. 🫂

Quite the glow up for the entrance door of a very loved Hanscom Park bungalow earlier this year. The humidity tested my patience while replacing the veneer and getting the lumber to a stainable condition. Looking forward to restoring some of their windows next year.

I had the privilege of restoring this Loveland neighborhood door to its grain-showing glory. Really happy with how it turned out despite having to dodge tumultuous weather and losing my faithful companion during this time. This will be a project that sticks with me because of the life events that happened, but also because of the lovely home and its amazing occupants (thank you again H if you're reading this). Hoping I get to work over in Loveland again someday. For being west of 72nd it is quite the gem for old Omaha home architecture. ✨🚪✨

This Morton Meadows door saw a lot of weather and sunlight over the years. Pretty severe checking, too. Originally I planned on repairing it and getting it to paint grade, but a stain grade finish became more realistic as I continued to work on it. Restored fir or pine doesn't usually stain well for me, but this was an exception, and the everyone loved it. I finished it with Osmo's UV formula, shined the brass, and installed new spring bronze after resetting all of the mortises and holes (had a big sag). It's getting a new storm door too so it will hang a long life. I'm really happy with how this turned out.

I had the privilege to restore these 12 leaded push outs a while back on a lovely Dundee home. There was a long list of things to improve.. One of the sash had to be remade (thanks ) and I replaced a few of the stiles. Lots of resoldering and cementing for the lead cames. Then each window had at least five individual pieces of hardware not including the weatherstripping. I'm still really happy I got to work on this project. Whenever I drive past it I get to see how shiny the glass looks now.

Revitalized these double hung windows in a cute little Morton Meadows home. Wish I took videos of the work on the mullion cap and jamb.
