What to do after experiencing storm damage to your home? 🏡⛈️⬇️

1. Safety first: Your safety should be your top priority before anything. You should be checking for downed power lines, any structural damage that could collapse, and if you smell any gas, leave and contact emergency services immediately.
2. Document the damages: Be sure to take clear photos and video evidence of what damage has occurred on the inside and outside. This is essential when you need to talk to insurance about coverage.
3. Contact your insurance company: When you call your insurance company, you'll explain what happened and the damage that occurred. Be sure to send them all of the evidence you collected and keep a record of all of your conversations.
4. Prevent further damage: If you have experienced significant damage its important you take measures to prevent further damage. Some examples are covering broken windows or turning off gas and electricity. Be sure to keep receipts for the supplies you bought, just in case your insurance policy covers the cost.
