Today, while Andrew was working on one of the machines at the property, I saved seeds from the zinnias & sunflowers. Before I got started, I put these bags on the driveway.These large drawstring laundry bags have sunflower heads/seeds from this years sunflower circles. These seeds will become some of our flowers next year.

In the 2 prior years, we've only used 4 bags. This year, I'm using more if not all the bags that came in the package. Giving them room to breathe & dry to help with mildew. While I collected flower heads for 2 hours, these laid flat to give them some fresh air.

Saturday consisted of surviving the cold morning volunteering at the Farmers Market. Once the sun started shining on our backs, it heated us up a bit. I came home & heated up leftover chili from dinner last night & then cleaned the kitchen I neglected last night. The remainder of the day, I helped Andrew rewire his trailer. He added these bright lights on the back so he could see & the old wiring wasn't working. At 7:35 pm, probably 5 trips to the stores today alone, IT'S FINALLY DONE & IT WORKS! I told Andrew he is more capable than he gives himself credit. (He has built 2 chicken coops as well) I have a hot date with a hot shower & a slather of thc cream from Mary's Medicinals before bed.

One of our chickens, Robin was the special guest this morning for a baby bookworms class at the public library. I was told the kids kept waving at her from their seats. 🥹 The kids didn't know she was gonna be there so it was a fun surprise for them, I'm sure. Thank you, to a friend for asking us to borrow a chicken, for the 2nd time since owning chickens. I love how she tries to make these learning experiences fun for the kids!

* Robin did great & was home within 2 hours to live her best backyard chicken life with the rest of the flock.
