This weekend the crew worked hard to get this store looking good! We tore out the old glue down vinyl planks, applied a fast cure base with cabin fever flakes followed by two coats of fast cure polyaspartic and a finish coat of high wear polyurethane. Lastly we installed new vinyl cove base. Fast cure products present their own challenges but we got it done on time.

Repair spotlight:

one of our customers had a large chunk of his garage slab fall off at the outer edge.

As we dug in we found a large bolt mixed in with the concrete right next to a large rock. Quality control a few decades ago wasn’t what it is today.

What likely happened is the bolt corroded and the corrosion caused expansion which popped the concrete apart.

We dug out all the bad concrete and profiled the edges of the slab. We put a bed of sand on top of the dirt in the bottom.

The repair was made using an ice string, polymer repair material mixed with sand. The affected area was base coated and flaked and blended with the original finish.

Splash pad makeover complete! Just in time for the opening date this weekend.

We ground off the old worn out coating, applied a specialized polyurethane basecoat with a sand broadcast. The sand was seal coated with epoxy, followed by a finish coat of polysiloxane in safety blue.

If I’ve done your garage I have talked to you about all the reasons we terminate the coating inside the garage.

This is a great way to dress up the concrete that is outside the garage. This system utilizes a sand broadcast coating system that is tougher than the concrete itself. It’s a perfect solution when repairs need to be done outside but the flakes are staying inside.
