Archie’s Aloha Pest Management is a proud supporter of our community and is thrilled to welcome and support the newly opened Templeton Community Library. Thank you Templeton Library for allowing Aloha Pest to provide coffee for Adult Story Time with Nina. It was a fun group of people and a great time. One of the stories Nina read was a suspenseful spin off the Stephen King book Dolores Claiborne and the other story was a silly small animal story to lighten the mood.

There are many wonderful activities happening at the library already, stop by with the family and check it out! The library is a great place to find new reading materials and resources, read a book, or study in a quiet place. Templeton library is located at 1173 South Main Street in Templeton across from the Templeton High School. Happy reading - Aloha!!

Ways to keep pests out for the spring!!

Aloha, spring is here and with the warm weather coming we will all be opening our windows and doors to let in the fresh air. We would like to offer some tips to keep your home pest free this spring:

- Check all window screens and screen doors are hole free and properly secured to prevent flying insects from entering.
- Make sure the weather stripping on all windows and doors is undamaged and properly sealed.
- Inspect door sweeps to make sure they are in good condition and there are no gaps.
- Trim vegetation back and away from structure to prevent crawling insects and rodents from gaining access.
- Sweep and vacuum dark corners to discourage spiders from building webs.
- Spray down kids play structures and outdoor toys with a hose to knock down spiders and spider webs.
- Check to make sure there is no standing water on the property to prevent mosquitoes.They can lay hundreds of eggs in small amounts of water, for example in something as small as a water bottle cap. Be sure to look for anything that can hold water like flower pot saucers, water buckets, kids toys and even tires.
- Check, repair and/or replace subarea vents and attic screens to prevent rodent and/or bird access.

A message from Archie’s Aloha Pest Management on COVID-19 and our services. Aloha Pest will remain open and business will continue as usual with the addition of precautionary steps and safety measures to encourage a healthy environment for our customers, technicians and our community. We are actively following the guidelines established by the Center for Disease Control and World Health Organization. Aloha Pest is taking the following precautionary steps:

- All technicians have sanitizer in trucks and will sanitize at the start and finish of each stop.
- All technicians will wash hands for a minimum of 20 seconds as often as possible in addition to sanitizer.
- All service equipment is wiped down with disinfectant wipes before each use.
- All trucks door handles, steering wheels and regularly used surfaces to be wiped down with disinfectant wipes daily.
- In the office all common surfaces, door k***s and bathrooms are being wiped down multiple times a day.
- Office staff is required to wash hands for a minimum of 20 seconds every 30 minutes, when they touch their face and hair and when they use the restroom.
- When possible business will be conducted over the phone and e-mail.
- Any employee feeling ill or showing signs of illness will be sent home immediately and required to provide a doctor’s note to return to work.

We will continue to monitor this crisis closely and keep our customers and technicians health in mind.
