A new iHop is coming to the City of Alamo, Texas. A ground breaking ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, September 10th at 9:00AM. The address for the new restaurant is 411 U.S. 83 Frontage Rd. Grab some business cards and take advantage of this network opportunity. Congrats 🙂🥳

Edinburg Police Department Pictures of the BMW that failed to stop at the Hidalgo County Courthouse. Yikes 😳

At approximately 11:35 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 30, Edinburg Police and Fire departments responded to a major single-vehicle collision at the Hidalgo County Courthouse.

A preliminary investigation indicates that a BMW traveling southbound on Closner failed to stop and crashed directly into the front entrance of the courthouse, causing extensive structural damage to the building.

Investigators suspect alcohol was a contributing factor. This investigation remains active.

🚨Breaking News - Edinburg, Texas

According to the Hidalgo County official page. The county courthouse will be closed today, Monday, August 31, 2026. Due to a vehicle crashing into the front doors of the courthouse.

A new IHOP is planned for 411 W.
Expressway 83 Frontage Rd. in Alamo, Texas, according to an announcement posted on the City of Alamo's official page.

While the City has shared the proposed location, we have not yet been able to independently confirm additional details about the project. Although a new project has recently broken ground at this exact location. But we cannot confirm that this is in fact, the location of a new IHOP restaurant. 

We are continuing to review state permitting and construction records for more information, including a possible construction timeline and opening date.
