This client’s DIY stain job needed major rehab!

I stripped the old stain, sanded, applied a bonding primer, sanded again, and 2 coats of paint.

Pro tip: If you want the smoothest finish that looks and feels like glass… sanding with 220 grit sandpaper before and after primer is key. It also helps to get the paint to adhere better for a longer lasting finish!

Fixing this suite at the Peoria Chiefs stadium was one of my coolest and most challenging projects to date. Wallpaper and lots of drywall patches. It was out of my comfort zone, but I learned a lot and am so proud of how it turned out!

It’s always so cool to see where painting takes me and the people I meet along the way!

Color: Hunt Club from Sherwin Williams - a rich natural green - perfect for a home out in the country!

Pro tip: If you’re going from really light to dark colors, like white to green or white to red, ask the employees to tint your primer grey. This will cut down on the number of coats you need to do!
