On November 2, 2023, Rise Up Residential had the incredible opportunity to partner with other local non-profits for the common goal of supporting each other and aligning towards a common goal in San Diego to raise money to help make a difference in our local communities'.

It was also the event where we got to announce our current grant award of $968,000 from The Regional Task Force on Homelessness for the acquisition of our newest affordable housing project in San Diego County.

HUGE shout out and thank you to everyone that made this incredible evening possible. And another HUGE shout out to all of the sponsors for the gifts and donations for the silent auction and giving tree, and another big thank you to those of you that showed up and supported and donated and made this evening such a success.

Cheers to my amazing co-founder and business partner Amanda Chambers Noeldechen for riding this crazy roller coaster with me. And to the staff at Rise Up Residential and all our amazing volunteers for your tireless work to bring more affordable housing and services to those most vulnerable in San Diego County. The work we do now will last decades to come.

Here’s the full video from the event yesterday where we won innovator of the year for our work on sustainable affordable housing. My business partner Amanda Chambers Noeldechen absolutely killed it.

Still can’t believe we won. It’s a true honor to be recognized for what started as a passion project of ours. Cheers to the long nights, endless stress and betting both our own nest eggs and our families livelihoods on blind faith.

Also I’d be remiss if I didn’t give a HUGE shout out to all employees, volunteers, affiliates and friends that have helped us along the way. Buckle up ladies…. We’re just getting started.

I would like to congratulate our partners Melissa Meza & Amanda Chambers Noeldechenfor winning an incredible award through the Chamber of Commerce. This award is for INNOVATOR OF THE YEAR, and is for their work alongside our non-profit Rise Up Residential. These amazing women are blazing a path to truly being able to solve the housing and homelessness crisis here in San Diego (and eventually across the US). Please take a moment to congratulate them and all the staff here for their unwavering and constant work to make this world a better place. Thank you ladies! And congratulations again. What an amazing opportunity and experience. We are all so grateful for your mentorship, leadership and most importantly, friendship.
