Bleach and Borax. Hand lettered and five coats of gloss clear.

Making the old new and kewl. Paint. Color and lots of UV gloss clear. Bug screen added. Blacked out white edges of trailer reflectors. Repainted bell activation arm.

Full size platform bed base with removable side for storage. College girl needs her storage and I need my living space back. New: Two 3/4 plywood sheets, stain and tongue oil finish, $130. The rest was salvaged.

Bell and Mailbox Post Upgrade. Part 2b: Mailbox support made and mounted. Mailbox moved. Reflectors attached. Mailbox will be repainted but too impatient to wait.

Bell and Mailbox Post Upgrade. Part 2b: Balance Danielson, Balance.

It’s not balanced. Hard to cast some like that and be balanced.

The lever was in down position because of the imbalance. The rope/wheel/spring are the counter balance. The chain at the bottom allowed me to adjust the tension to balance the bell.

Used a rope soaked in Thompsons water seal. This will keep the wheel from getting chipped and rust. Chain links for future adjustments.

Wheel found in barn covered in rust. Electronic rust removal and paint. The center was not round but keyed in a “D” shape that I had to mill out with a Dremel tool.

This hose blew off twice at the pump. Not sure why but the ni**le had lost it's shape and I got a new one. The old hose was a bit too short too so I replaced that. The new hose required a ton effort just get over the tip. Got the heat gun out. And they formed to the ni**le with some spit. Then the screwed joint to new ni**le I Teflon taped was leaking. It was stiff when I assembled it. Added more tape and sprayed the receiver with silicone. Went all the way on.
