STAFF SPOTLIGHT — For Senior Project Architect Michelle Colville, a career in design was practically pre-ordained. Growing up with three brothers, she spent her childhood immersed in her dollhouses—crafting additions and custom furniture for them.
Those early passions blossomed into formal education, earning her bachelor's degrees in both Architecture and Interior Design. Michelle’s professional qualifications— RA, LEED AP, NCIDQ—give her a rare, holistic perspective on every space she shapes.
With twenty-six years of experience, her design capabilities are both comprehensive and deeply refined. At AS+P, she specializes in custom homes for coastal and inland settings, guiding clients seamlessly from initial concept through final construction.
Her work ranges from classic coastal homes to complex historic renovations—including lifting and meticulously updating a classic shore home with a wrap-around porch—to contemporary inland estates, such as a sprawling Delaware residence designed for seamless indoor-outdoor living, multi-seasonal adaptability, and optimized natural light.
Collaborating closely with specialized consultants in lighting, interior design, and landscape architecture, Michelle remains actively engaged on site through every phase of construction, ensuring each design detail is executed to the highest standard.
That same dedication and follow-through define her life outside the AS+P walls. Michelle is a devoted wife and mother, keeping pace with a bustling household that spans children's theater and multiple sports.
When it’s time for "me time," you’ll find her looking forward to her next getaway and staying active. Michelle enjoys traveling with friends and family and participating in local races. In July, she and her daughter competed at the Women's Philadelphia Triathlon.
Michelle proves that building a beautiful life is all about vision and heart, and that the most rewarding part of the journey is always watching the details come to life.
