The Reasons Why
Those two precious little people in the photo are the reasons why we are embarking on this scary, exciting venture. Bonnie is almost 4 years old and a constant source of joy. Eli is turning 10 this year, is the best big brother ever, and a really cool dude.
My husband Daniel has a great career that he loves. He likes his work, his coworkers (mostly), and the company. So why put everything on the line, work ourselves to death, and start a business building tiny houses?
Easy. Those two faces. Daniel’s away from them all day for most of every week. They grow up so fast. We don’t want to miss these magical years when it’s all love and snuggles.
Last year we remodeled our house ourselves. We did the electrical, tile, wood laminate floors, tub surround, a fire pit on a new flagstone patio, dyed the concrete, and much more all by ourselves. We realized that we not only work well together, we like doing that kind of work! We sold our house last October and moved in to our new RV to reduce our expenses and pay off debt. The “tiny bug” had bitten us.
