Meet Jamie, our new Office Manager! 👋⚡

Jamie joined the CB Electric team to help keep things organized behind the scenes, manage day-to-day office operations, and lend a hand with marketing and wherever else she’s needed!

She moved to Plattsburgh in 2014 to attend SUNY Plattsburgh and has called the North Country home ever since. With a background in office administration, customer service, and healthcare, Jamie loves working with people and finding ways to keep things running smoothly.

Outside of the office, she’s a mom, loves traveling and spending time with family and friends, and is excited to be part of the CB Electric team!

I recently announced that I would personally pay for swim lessons for 10 local children because drowning prevention and water safety matter to me.

I’ve now been informed that my effort was reported to New York State by the democrat side of the board of elections because it was posted on my campaign page.

So here’s what I’m going to do:

I’m moving the swim lesson initiative over to my CB Electric business page, and I’m still paying for 10 local children to learn how to swim.

Politics isn’t going to stop me from doing something positive for children in our community.

Nobody was asked who they were voting for. Nobody was asked to donate to my campaign. And let’s remember something important: children under the age of 18 can’t vote.

This was never about politics. The purpose was simple: help local children learn a potentially lifesaving skill and help prevent another family from experiencing the tragedy of a drowning.

I’m still helping the kids.

10 local children. 10 opportunities to learn how to swim. We’re moving forward.

If more than 10 families are interested, the 10 children will be selected at random. I’ll post additional details soon about eligibility and how the selection will work.

K9s For Warriors provides highly trained service dogs to veterans dealing with PTSD, traumatic brain injury, and military trauma—giving our heroes support, companionship, and a new path forward.

Today our crew responded to an emergency involving a severely overheated electrical meter that was on the verge of causing much more serious damage.

One of the biggest advantages of today’s smart meters is that they can detect abnormal conditions, including dangerously high temperatures, and automatically alert the utility company. In this case, that early warning helped identify a potentially hazardous situation before it turned into a house fire.

It’s a good reminder that electrical problems often show warning signs before they become disasters. If you notice flickering lights, a burning smell, buzzing sounds, or a hot electrical panel or meter, don’t ignore it. Have it inspected immediately.

I’m grateful we were able to make the situation safe and help protect this family’s home.
