we’re doing everything we can at to mitigate the spread of CRB 🪲 across the island, including:

🔥 hot composting to kill grubs & beetles
🪡 netting our piles
🌱 quarantining our final product before distribution

we’d like to encourage all of our members to compost responsibly by spreading compost THIN (2 in. or less) when applying & storing finished compost in hard-plastic, seal-tight containers 🫙

working on our last pile of 2025 🌟

every week we add an avg of ONE THOUSAND POUNDS of food scraps to our compost piles, diverting them from the landfill & returning them to the soil 🪱

with just over 100 active CK members on kauai, our crew is small but mighty 💪🏽 if we avg 1000lbs of food waste WEEKLY w just over 100 members, imagine how much we could be diverting if even a quarter of kauai’s 73k population composted! 🤯

scraping your plate into a compost bin instead of the trash is one of the EASIEST ways to malama ‘āina 🌱 we make it even easier! sign up for curbside pick-up & drop-off services at www.compostkauai.org, 🔗 in bio
