There seems to be a huge misconception that landscaping and plants are “cheap.”
Before complaining about pricing, please understand what actually goes into landscape work.
Plants are NOT mature when purchased unless you are paying for mature stock — and mature plants cost significantly more. A small shrub today takes years of growth, watering, fertilizer, pruning, and maintenance to become the full beautiful plant you picture in your mind.
You are not just paying for a plant.
You are paying for:
• Time spent sourcing quality materials
• Fuel and trailer costs to pick up materials
• Labor for removing old plants and cleaning beds
• Soil, mulch, amendments, and disposal fees
• Repairing or adjusting irrigation systems
• Proper planting techniques to help plants survive
• Equipment, insurance, and business overhead
Running a landscaping business is expensive, physically demanding work, and quality work is never free.
We do not pick up or plant materials for free, just like mechanics don’t install parts for free and contractors don’t build for free.
If you want larger, mature landscaping installed immediately, the cost goes up significantly because the plants, transportation, equipment, and labor all increase.
Please do your research before criticizing small business pricing. We work hard to provide quality work, honest service, and professional results. 🌿
