My sweet garden club friends. Due to some health issues, my garden has been neglected. ISO, someone that I could hire to assist with weeding. Yes, I know it's 100 degrees, so this would be some early morning or late evening for just a couple of hours for a few days. If you have a lawn/yard person that would be interested please message me. Your suggestions are appreciated.

The Deep South Orchid Society will host a well-known speaker, Arthur Chadwick, owner of Chadwicks & Son out of Richmond, VA on Sunday, June 14th, 1pm at the Coastal Georgia Botanical Gardens. An American orchid grower, he & his father have been growing orchids since 1943 with 11 greenhouses & two retail shops around the Richmond area.He and his father have been instrumental in hybridizing cattleya orchids and naming them after the First Ladies and presenting them at the White House. Arthur will be speaking on the First Ladies Orchids, bringing lots of orchids to sell, as well signing his books he has written on orchids. Don't miss it!

The beautiful DayLily Garden at the Savannah Botanical Garden. Our very own, Louise Schindler and Carol Koffroth, who are also DayLily Society Ladies worked on this.

They removed a tree and the textures and colors just glow. Great job, Ladies!

Scholarships for Local Horticultural Students

The Garden Club of Pooler donates to the Dollars for Scholars program supported by the Garden Club of Georgia, Inc. which provides scholarships to deserving Georgia college students majoring in any garden-related subject in an accredited college or university in Georgia.

Judging of recipients for the scholarships is based on need, scholastic record, character, initiative, and general attitude. Scholarship winners are selected by the Scholarship Committee of the Garden Club of Georgia, Inc.
