Ventilation and v***r barrier are critical to your health and the health of your house. Do not block your vents with foam or other material. You are not saving heat you are trapping moisture. Make sure the plastic is black and covers all of the soil. The repairs can be 10's of thousand$ of dollars. Ask me how I know.
