Today we would like to highlight one of our customers, the Argonaut II Historic Boat Foundation, working on a large-scale restoration project up the road in Port Townsend, WA. In her working years, Argonaut II travelled the Northern coastline of British Columbia supporting remote communities and providing much needed supplies and medical services. 104 years since her construction, this 73’ motor vessel needs major work to allow her to revisit her ports of call in her retirement.
Her history and ongoing restoration is documented on YouTube and has become a community-led effort to keep the boat floating for another 100 years.
Edensaw Woods is proud to supply the best maritime planking material available to help Argonaut II see another 100 years. The planking material is Sipo Mahogany cut from 35’ boules of planking stock, with guards and centerline repairs made from other tropical hardwoods, including Purpleheart.
