This project was a father asking for his son’s marching Yamaha Drums (Official) bass drum to be painted red so that he could march with the The Salvation Army USA band. The hoops were touched up with new black lacquer and the bass drum shell painted in red with lacquer finish. Super happy to do a project like this.

Fat sounding Gretsch Drums kit cut down to 11x22, 10x16 and 8x12. Bearing edges redone to round over with 45’s on the inside. Custom Kaleb Shields acrylic pour head finished in oyster black pearl.

Threw the sliver/gold sparkle flecks on Machado Mijiga beautiful Gretsch Drums snare. This is the Kaleb Shields ch*****ne sparkle finish.

70’s gold. 14x22 16x16 and a 8x12 all refinished in gold sparkle with the special treatment. These drums sound even better than they look. 🕺🏻

When I first started this company/hobby in 2012, were the first shells I was able to acquire. I’ve always loved this companies integrity with the make of their 70’s era shells. I want to say a few things. 1. I have never made/restored drums to make money (period) 2. Every drum that comes through my hands gets the treatment (sizing, refinishing with includes lots of sanding and paint/lacquer applied, bearing edges recut/leveled/ all hardware polished with steel wool, and finally product tested). 3. I love restoring life into drums and I absolutely love sending them off to people who will appreciate them. If you are still here, this is a 70’s era 14x22 kick that I gave the treatment and painted that s**t gold, because gold is what this drum sounds like. Get at me if you ever want to see what I mean.

1940’s Leedy&Ludwig marching snare converted to a beautiful sounding kick drum. 10x14. Edges leveled then redone, blue/silver duco finish with maple hoops w/sparkle silver inlay. This is heading out to in Texas. Enjoy it my friend!
