Apparently someone has found another way to hurt and offend people for No reason. Here is a heads up for everyone. There is a new hack on FB. It includes a hurtful phrase coming from you. It is usually very dirty and appears that you have written it. You will NOT see it, but your friends will. This creates many misunderstandings. So to all of my contacts, if anything shocking, inappropriate, or indecent shows up ,it's not from me. You may wish to copy this to your wall.

Homeowner called because they’ve cleared some trees and shrubbery from the side of their new home and the chimney has holes in it. Arrive to look at the project and see a weird twist to the lowest piece of trim and a bulge in the sheeting. No worries, we can cut out the bad sheeting and replace it with new and reside everything. Get it nice and water tight and put a fiber cement board on that the bugs aren’t too fond of.

Start to tear off the old trim and the whole wall of the chimney tried to come off. Now the whole thing must come down, it’s completely rotted out from the base. Cut back the old sheeting and the reason for the bulge is because the rim plate is rotted too and the house has crushed thru the rot 3/4”.

Thankfully it’s on a crawl so we’re able to brace the floor and wall from the inside while we cut out and reframe the entire pony wall. Chimney was only nailed to the wall, no floor, so we fixed that as well. V***r barrier for the fresh framing and we’re finally on to the original project... side the chimney and wall.

This home needs a lot more help but, dang if that doesn’t look so much better already!!

Friend reached out. Neighbor’s dad had another tree fall across the house and they needed a professional’s opinion. Insurance could tell the roof needed work but had no clue what the actual damage entailed. No problem, glad to help out.

Peeled the roofing back to get to the clearly busted barges and crippled sheeting. Rebuilt both barges and then braced and repaired a handful of busted truss legs. Fresh sheeting all around with new roofing and now she’s all buttoned back up for winter. Grateful we have the skills to be our costumers one and done for their construction needs. Takes the stress out of multi-trade projects.

Sometimes you finish the project and you realize it’s still not quite what you’d hoped. It’s all you wanted but now that you see it there’s something missing…

Every good fireplace needs a good chimney, right?! That’s how these homeowners felt when they were taking in the view of their freshly moved in home. So that’s just what we gave them.

Pop out the temporary posts from this winter and finish off the front porch with matching columns to tie in the back and voila, two steps closer to their completed forever home.

I installed this nice pergola that the homeowner purchased from Costco with a good friend of ours. If I didn’t know any better I’d say she planned this whole project flawlessly but I know it was luck that these items came together as well as they did. It’s nice when we can find current products to fit our existing needs without excessive planning or customizations. I hope this pergola provides her many years of shade for making great memories.
