👩 Meet Danielle

My wife of 28 years and the true backbone of our business. She keeps everything running behind the scenes.. marketing, social media, bookkeeping, scheduling, hiring, payroll, and all the details that keep our company moving forward.

She also makes sure I stay on track every day. (Let’s be honest… she’s probably the real boss. 🤫😂)

I’m the hands and heart of Willenborg Roofing.

When you call or text, you’ll be talking directly with me not a salesperson. I’ll personally inspect your roof, provide your estimate, and be on your project from start to finish, working right alongside our crew.

Roofing has been part of my life since I was 8 years old. I’m a third generation roofer and contractor. My grandfather founded Willenborg Roofing in 1952, and my dad proudly carried on the family legacy. I had the privilege of working alongside my dad for many years, helping run the family business before taking the reins myself.
Today, I’m honored to continue that tradition with Willenborg Roofing, carrying forward the same values of honesty, quality craftsmanship, and treating every customer like family.

With 35 years of roofing and construction experience, I believe in doing things the right way no shortcuts, no high-pressure sales, just honest recommendations and quality workmanship you can count on.

🐾 Meet Koda

Our spoiled French Bulldog and the true CEO of the household. He’s the reason we work so hard every day to keep him stocked with deer antlers, treats, and all the naps he can handle. ❤️

Outside of work, you’ll usually find us hiking, boating, spending time with family, enjoying a good movie, or attending church. Our faith is the foundation of both our family and our business.

The verse we strive to live by is Colossians 3:23–24:

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.”

That’s why you’ll see this verse on every one of our posts. It’s a daily reminder that every roof we install and every customer we serve should reflect the integrity, excellence, and care we believe God calls us to give.

🏠 FROM WORN-OUT ASPHALT TO A BRAND-NEW METAL ROOF

This North Idaho homeowner was facing a situation many homeowners never want to hear his insurance company required the aging roof to be replaced in order to maintain coverage.

The existing asphalt shingle roof had definitely reached the end of its life, and the homeowner decided this was the perfect opportunity to make the upgrade to metal roofing.

Once we removed the old roofing, we found more than just worn shingles.

🔨 WHAT THIS PROJECT INCLUDED:

✔️ Complete removal of the old asphalt roofing
✔️ Replacement of several sheets of damaged roof sheathing
✔️ Re-nailing of the existing sheathing to bring the roof deck up to current fastening requirements
✔️ Premium high-temperature underlayment designed for use beneath metal roofing
✔️ New metal roofing system
✔️ Custom-cut and fitted metal along the gable edges for a clean, finished appearance
✔️ Manufacturer warranty + our workmanship warranty

One of the biggest concerns we uncovered was the original roof sheathing. It had been installed with far too few nails and was so poorly secured that sections lifted off with surprisingly little resistance.

Before installing the new roof, we went back over the roof deck and properly re-nailed the sheathing so the new metal roofing system had the solid, secure foundation it should have had from the beginning.

I was well aware that my roof was fast approaching the time for replacement and had been nervous about it's decaying condition throughout the winter so with spring fast approaching I began my search for a company with a good reputation for the job.

I spoke to numerous friends and neighbors attempting to track down a good company but decided to broaden my search by reviewing several social media sites as well.

My best resource in my search with via the "Neighborhood" app where I found others asking the same questions and seeking recommendations.

while I initially contacted 3-4 companies, I was disappointed in their slow responses, vague answers, and lack of follow through in returning my calls and/or emails.

what I noticed on the Neighborhood app was a lot of very good reviews from prior Willenborg Roofing clients whose comments were nothing short of impressive.

When I reached out to Gary, he was straight forward with his responses to my questions and more importantly, Listened to my description of my home and issues I observed.

We made an appointment for Gary to come out to my home for an evaluation where he arrived right on time and completed his initial assessment. Once again, Gary was very up front and presented his evaluation of my roof in a clear and understandable manner.

I would easily agree, my two-story home has what i would describe as a very "complex" roof with several 12/12 pitches and peeks, so not an easy task for the faint of heart!!

Gary provided me with his initial opinion saying he would do some additional research for the project and come back with material samples to complete his bid for the job.

Once done, Gary called me back and set another appointment to discuss the job consisting of his bid, timeline for starting and finishing the job , and sample selections. Once again, Gary's communications and follow through to the appointment was without fail.

Once the roofing project started there was no slack time or changes to the timeline despite some intense summer heat to deal with while on the job. Gary and his crew would also clean up the site each day they worked and kept me informed on their progress up to and including the final day of completion.

The completed job came out beautifully represented by Gary's extensive Roofing experience and attention to detail that is hard to find these days! My sincere thanks to Gary and his crew for his honesty, follow through, and true craftsmanship!

Without hesitation I would highly recommend Willenborg Roofing, LLC for your roofing needs.

🏠 47 Sections. 4 Pitches. One Incredible Roof.

This was one of those projects that truly put experience, craftsmanship, and safety to work.

The existing shingles were extremely worn with virtually no granules remaining and the fiberglass mat visibly exposed. It was definitely time for this home to get the protection it deserved.

And this was anything but a simple roof! With 47 different roof sections, multiple pitch transitions, heights ranging from one to three stories, and pitches including 24/12, 12/12, 8/12 and 4/12, careful planning and proper safety procedures were essential from start to finish.

🔨 Project Highlights:

😂 The meme is funny… but the lesson is real.
