She’s back! 🌱

I had to take a step back over the holidays from posting. Over a Christmas it gone down to 15 degrees here in NC, and I lost about 80% of the plant babies in my greenhouse when one of our heaters went out. I had to spend 2 days throwing away and composting tray after tray of mushy dead plants. 😿All the babies I made over the last year.

I was upset. I felt deflated, it seemed so daunting and difficult to try to get back to where we were. But here I am. Collecting cuttings from friends, dipping into my personal collection at home, and doing what I can to get my stock back in order.

This is more than a side-hustle. It’s my dirt therapy, my hobby, and it brings me so much peace and happiness.. so while I may be starting from scratch.. there is no way I am not getting my hands dirty and bringing y’all more plant babies than ever. I have managed to keep my collection of for-sale plants at so you can always stop by for a drink and support your local plant lady. She needs all she can get. 😉

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas over at

I love incorporating the big beauties in with the Christmas decor. We have a lot of ready-to-gift potted plants available at the salon. So if you’re in historic Oakwood, stop by and see for yourself. It’s such an adorable space and the plant babies have been thriving!

Forever pinching myself because I get to build a community and make (a little) money by simply sharing my love for houseplants and styling.
and.fern has grown exponentially in 2022 and it’s all thanks to the community of folks who support me. I can’t wait to see what 2023 brings!

Thank you to everyone who ever bought a plant, shared a post, or referred a friend. It’s because of you I get to spend my evenings in a greenhouse dreaming up new ways to educate and spread the love of .

It may be cold and rainy outside but it’s always a warm tropical paradise in my little greenhouse.
and.fern will keep pumping out plant babies all winter. I won’t let this cold weather stop me from cultivating beautiful tropical plants and succulents for all your holiday gift needs.

I’ll be providing teacher gifts and all sorts of green goodies so you can spread holiday cheer by giving someone a cute new plant friend.
