After months of being very quiet over here, I feel a little obnoxious posting so many photos from our daughter‘s wedding, but this photo actually does have something to do with art! I had a great time creating this map of the venue for the center of the seating chart our fab wedding planner constructed and then we used the artwork for the back of our weekend itinerary that we put into the welcome bags. It was so much fun to be able to add some creative touches to the wedding!

We’ve been deep into a really fun wedding season (including planning our own daughter’s wedding!), so I haven’t had much time (or headspace) to paint.

But this fabulous wedding we attended three months ago was captured in such a joyful photo that I couldn’t resist doing a quick interpretation/painting experiment over an old abstract piece.

I’m enjoying all the celebrations, but also looking forward to getting back in the studio and creating more once I finally come up for air!

Finally had a day to try some new things and now I’m thinking this could be a fun series!

It’s been a little quiet in the studio, but the house has been a buzz of activity with our sweet new 5 month old pug/ sh*tzu/ dauschand mix rescue from ! We are calling him “Parker” be use he was a “nosy Parker” on the flight home from Dallas- he wanted to get into everyone’s laps and check out the scenery anywhere but in his carrier🤣! I had never flown with a dog before, but the crew from was so sweet and helpful to nervous Nellie (me) and Nosy Parker! And I can’t say enough about the team at ! Although the adoption process is a little long and involved, they were caring and so helpful and his foster mom even met me in baggage claim with the pup so I could fly in and out the same day! They have also been in constant communication, checking on Parker and showing lots of care and concern for his adjustment period. Trainings is in full force and I hope to be back to painting soon with a new buddy to keep our other dog, Rona and me company! -pug

Turns out, snow days are good for cleaning up your website for a STUDIO CLEANOUT SALE! I’ve uploaded new items and have updated several other paintings on my site with deep discounts, as well as a ton of handmade decoupage ornaments. Christmas may be over, but these sweet little wooden ornaments are also fun to hang on a wine bottle you can take as a hostess gift or to tie on a wrapped gift for a little extra cuteness!
