Its already february!! All your ornamental trees & shrubs will be blooming sooner than you know it. We have had an extremely mild winter this year. I was @ the nursery last thursday and noticed aphid activity already. This means its time to spray your ornamental trees with Dormant oil. ( cherries,dogwoods maples,apricots, and so on). Spraying now will ensure that you knock out a good portion of these nasty pests that reek havoc on our trees that give us the years first bit of color. It actually smothers them while they are still in the larva stage. Give me a call. I'll be happy to assist you with this or any of your other tree care needs!!!!

this is the perfect time of year to think about your landscape. the holidays are over and before you know it spring time will be here. NOW is the time to do any planting of new trees or shrubs. planting now will ensure that your plants will make it through our hot and dry summer. I am offering a $25 coupon to all clients that want to install new plant material and upgrade their existing landscape. Do you have any plant material/trees that look like they were having a hard time last summer?now is the time to think about deep root fertilizing. Your trees/shrubs may look dormant but their root systems never stop growing. Make sure your root systems are in a healthy state and not lacking nutrients and your foliage will follow. there is nothing more desirable than a landscape that is in a state of vigor.
