I-72 BRIDGE MAINTENANCE BEGINS APRIL 12 AT SIXTH, SECOND STREET
Illinois Department of Transportation announced crews will begin washing and painting bridges on Interstate 72 at Sixth Street and Second Street beginning April 12. Work will begin at Sixth Street, which will be reduced to one lane in each direction. When Sixth Street is complete, by approximately June 1, the project will move to Second Street. Second will be closed periodically between June 1 and September 1 for a total of 30 days, with nighttime lane closures on I-72. All construction is expected to be complete by September 1.

LANE CLOSURES ALONG THE FORMER DOWNTOWN YMCA
Lane reductions are in place around the former downtown YMCA until April 23.

SOUTH WALNUT DETOUR CONTINUING
The northbound traffic lanes on Walnut Street, between South Grand and W. Canedy are still closed. This is to accommodate water service line improvement work. Work for this section should be completed by the end of the day on April 16.

DRAWBRIDGE ROAD
Complete riprap installation and abutments. The city anticipates the project will be done sooner; however, the contract completion date is thru August.

LENHART ROAD IMPROVEMENTS
Seeding, grading at Lenhart & Bunker Hill

FIFTH AND SIXTH STREET UNDERPASSES
Installing drainage structures
***6th Street reduced to 3 lanes northbound: Wellesley - Broad***

LAUREL STREET UNDERPASS
Closed through July 31, 2021
Currently installing abutments, Union Pacific Railroad over Laurel.

The Kinney Family said good bye today to Snickers the best office cat ever. He loved to greet visitors, assist Bill with his daily work, watch the security cameras, and never missed a conference call or meeting. He is so loved and will be deeply missed!
