As another week comes to a close, we’d like to say thank you.

Every phone call, message, referral, recommendation, and share means more to our small business than you probably realize.

One of our favorite things to hear is, “A friend told me to call you.”

That tells us we’ve earned not only a customer’s trust, but their confidence to recommend us to someone they care about. We never take that for granted.

Whether you’ve hired us, referred us, or simply follow along to support our journey, thank you for being part of it.

We hope everyone has a safe and relaxing weekend!

Restoration doesn’t begin with new drywall. It begins here.

The first photo shows what happens when mold is allowed to grow unchecked. By the time the walls and ceiling start showing damage, the problem is often much bigger than what’s visible on the surface.

The second photo is after the contaminated materials were safely removed and the structure was professionally cleaned. This is the point where the home is finally ready to start moving forward toward rebuilding.

Mold isn’t just about making things look clean—it’s about removing the source of the problem and creating a safe foundation for restoration.

If you suspect mold in your home, don’t wait until the damage becomes obvious.

We’re more than just a restoration company.

To most people, this photo just looks like a demolition project. To us, it tells a story. We can often look at an exposed wall or ceiling and identify where the water came from, how long it’s likely been there, and what needs to happen to restore it properly.

One of our biggest goals is helping homeowners understand what to look for before a small issue becomes a major one. Whether it’s sharing tips on preventing water damage, explaining how mold develops, or helping you know when it’s time to call a professional, we believe education is just as important as restoration.

Even if you never need our services, we hope the information we share helps you protect your home and gives you confidence when something doesn’t seem right.

When you do need us, you can count on honest recommendations, quality work, and a team that’s here to help every step of the way.

One leak. One hidden space. That’s all mold needs.

Mold doesn’t require a flood to become a problem. Even a slow leak that goes unnoticed can create enough moisture for mold to spread behind drywall and into surrounding materials.

If something smells musty or you suspect water has been sitting where you can’t see it, don’t wait until the damage becomes obvious.

Why don’t we just cut a small hole and call it good?

Because seeing the leak is only the first step.

Every opening we make has a purpose. We use moisture readings and a thorough inspection to determine how far the water has traveled, whether the framing or insulation has been affected, and how much drywall needs to be removed.

The goal isn’t to remove more than necessary—it’s to remove enough to properly dry the structure and make sure the damage is fully addressed before repairs begin.

Doing it right the first time helps prevent bigger problems down the road.

Found a leak but can’t figure out where the water went? Check below.

If you’ve found a leak but can’t figure out where the water ended up, don’t overlook your crawl space.

Water doesn’t always stay where the leak started. It follows the path of least resistance, and in many homes, that path leads underneath the house.

That’s why inspecting the crawl space is often one of the most important steps in finding the full extent of the damage before it becomes a much bigger problem.

Why We Sometimes Seal the Wood After Mold Removal.

Once mold has severely affected wood, cleaning alone isn’t always the final step. In many cases, applying a sealant after remediation is a good extra precaution. It helps encapsulate any remaining staining, adds another layer of protection, and can reduce the risk of future mold growth when used as part of a proper remediation process.

If you notice discoloration, musty odors, or signs of moisture in your home, don’t ignore them. Catching mold early can make a big difference.

🛑 Insurance Myth of the Day

“If I file a water damage claim, my insurance company will automatically raise my rates.”

❌ Myth.

The truth is that every claim is different.

Insurance companies look at things like:
✔️ The cause of the damage
✔️ Your claims history
✔️ The severity of the loss
✔️ Your individual policy and insurer

There’s no rule that says one water damage claim automatically means your premium goes up.

If you notice signs of water damage, don’t wait. Having the issue inspected promptly can help prevent further damage and shows you’re taking reasonable steps to address the problem rather than letting it get worse.

If you’re unsure whether the damage is worth filing a claim for, Legacy Emergency Services can inspect the damage and help you understand what you’re dealing with before you make that decision.

Another windy day in the Tri-Cities… shocking, I know. 😅

While most of us are just chasing down garbage cans, strong winds can do real damage to your roof—sometimes without you even noticing.

Missing shingles, lifted edges, or exposed roofing materials can let water in and lead to much more expensive repairs if they’re left unchecked.

If something doesn’t look quite right after the wind, give us a call. Catching damage early can help prevent much bigger problems down the road.
