🍂This fall has been all about window trim and rot repair!

Not every damaged window needs to be replaced!

Wood rot is common, especially around exterior window trim and sills where moisture can find its way in. But that doesn’t always mean you need an entirely new window.

I’ve been busy removing damaged wood, repairing and replacing deteriorated trim, and restoring windows to help protect them from further damage.

My goal is simple: Repair what can be repaired and replace only what’s necessary. Quality workmanship doesn’t always mean starting over!

There’s a lot more to rebuilding old windows than what you see when the job is finished.

This project involved rebuilding and repairing multiple existing windows — removing deteriorated material, addressing damaged areas, rebuilding where needed, and getting everything properly sealed and protected before putting it all back together.

These are only a fraction of the photos from the process, but they show why we don’t believe in simply covering up a problem and making it look good from the outside.

The details underneath matter.

A good repair should preserve the character of the home while also protecting it for years to come.

Repair it right. Rebuild what needs rebuilding. Preserve what’s worth preserving.

Dormers take a beating from sun, wind, and rain—and damaged siding can allow moisture to reach the structure underneath.

For this project, I removed the failing siding and replaced it with new siding for a clean, finished look and better protection from the elements.

If the siding around your dormers is loose, cracked, or beginning to rot, it’s best to repair it before a small problem becomes a much larger one.

From worn and damaged to solid, safe, and ready for everyday use.

For this project, I removed the old decking, repaired the damaged areas underneath, rebuilt the front steps, installed low-maintenance composite boards, and reinstalled the railings for a clean, finished entry.

This has been LONG overdue!

We’re so glad we finally invested the time to sit down and have Rich’s website created.

Rich has maintained a thriving construction business for nearly 30 years simply through word of mouth. Times are changing, though. People rely heavily on reviews, recommendations, and now social media — and while we’ve always had the first two, the online presence just wasn’t something we focused on.

So we pulled in Micah Holley with Wildflower Media to help us bring together nearly 30 years of Rich’s carpentry experience and showcase what he actually does.

We’ve heard so many times, “I didn’t know you did that!”

And the truth is, not all of Rich’s work is picture-worthy. Sometimes it’s a beautiful renovation or custom carpentry project. Other times it’s a rotten girder or a window repair on Grove Avenue that no one else can figure out — but Rich can!

After almost 30 years, there’s not much he hasn’t seen or tackled.
